Barry Greenstein Joins Team PokerStars at 2006 World Series of Poker

PokerStars.com (http://www.pokerstars.com/), the world's largest poker tournament website, announced the addition of renowned poker player Barry Greenstein to Team PokerStars. Instead of taking from the rich and giving to the poor, Barry Greenstein takes on poker pros around the world dedicating 100 percent of his tournament winnings to charity. Ranked among the highest money winners on the World Poker Tour (WPT) circuit and top cash game players in the world, and he is respected and admired throughout the poker community.

"Since the last three winners of the WSOP main event are on Team PokerStars, and I plan to win it, I decided to show ultimate confidence in myself and join PokerStars ahead of time," said Greenstein.

The one-time software designer realized many years ago that he could make more playing cards than he could in the software industry.

Tennis Canada: On Court News

The veteran left-hander has collected a 5-0 record while pulling double duty at Wimbledon, finding success in both men's doubles and mixed doubles.

Nestor and longtime doubles partner Mark Knowles (Bahamas) are hoping to improve upon their 2002 final appearance at the All-England Club.

The No. 3 seeds have worked their way through three rounds of play thus far and are set to meet No. 8 Simon Aspelin (Sweden) and Todd Perry (Australia) in the quarter-finals. Should they move onto the semis, they could face their top-ranked rivals Bob and Mike Bryan (USA).

But once Nestor steps on court alongside fellow No. 5 seed Elena Likhovtseva (Russia), he must switch gears and focus solely on his efforts in the mixed doubles draw.

Coast to coast to cash

Canada's Top 10: Anyone with the foresight to set up a Tim Hortons in Fort McMurray, Alta., before the oilsands bonanza could have raised enough cash to trade in their Timbits for a time share in the Bahamas. Here the Financial Post's Emily Mathieu provides a west-to-east look at 10 towns and cities on the cusp of a boom where an entrepreneur might want to set up shop -- sooner rather than later. .
