'Tainted Love' traces battle to end smoker's 34-year dangerous ...
TORONTO (CP) - Tina Triano had a love affair that lasted 34 years. The object of her affection had a long, lean build and a smouldering sensuality, saw her through good times and bad, and had a butt to die for! Still, she knew - and people reminded her often enough - this was one relationship that wasn't good for her and she should finally kiss it goodbye.It took her about 40 attempts over the years, but Triano believes she's finally given up that toxic love of her life: a pack-a-day addiction to cigarettes that began before puberty and remained a constant companion into her 40s.
"I feel like I won the hardest battle of my life, I feel like I can do anything now," says Triano, who chronicles her long attachment to tobacco and what she did to ultimately send it packing in her self-published book "Tainted Love: Diary of a Smoker."
She hopes the book (packed with hilarious anecdotes and hard-won wisdom that should appeal to smokers both current and reformed) will inspire others to butt out for good.
Boy scouts go on fishing trip
Last weekend about 13 students from Berakas Secondary School Scout Troop embarked on a fishing activity at Pelompong Island. This was one of their activities to earn one of the scheme badges entitled for the Boy Scout. On the same day, their scout leader, Cikgu Md Shukri bin Hj Masri, accompanied by the Sea Scout Commissioner Skipper Hj Hassan bin Hj Abd Hamid, organised a visit to the fish farm owned by the Vice President of Brunei Scout Organisation Skipper Awg Hj Abu Bakar bin Hj Ahmad .

TMZ has learned that Anna Nicole Smith confessed during her pregnancy that Larry Birkhead was the father of her baby. Sources tell TMZ that late last year, Anna Nicole began having sexual relations with Gaither Ben Thompson, a wealthy real estate developer in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We're told that Howard K. Stern, the lawyer who claims to be the father of Anna Nicole's newborn baby, was in Myrtle Beach during the time Anna Nicole was seeing Thompson. Remember, Stern has said he had a long-term relationship with Anna Nicole, which seems odd given that Stern accompanied Smith to Myrtle Beach.Sources say in May of this year, Anna Nicole contacted Thompson to say that he was the father of her soon-to-be-born baby girl.
