Smith Gives First Interview Since Son's Death

(CBS News) NEW YORK Anna Nicole Smith sits down for her first TV interview since the death of her son Daniel in September. "Entertainment Tonight" reporter Mark Steines calls his exclusive interview, which begins airing Thursday, a "veritable rollercoaster of emotions." On Tuesday, the model was hospitalized with pneumonia at the same medical center in the Bahamas where her 20-year-old son, Daniel, died in September, an attorney for Smith told The Associated Press. "She has a slight case of pneumonia," attorney Wayne Munroe told the AP. "We've had a sudden change of weather here due to a cold snap." In his blog on "Entertainment Tonight's" Web site, Steines says he traveled to the Bahamas where he met Smith's new baby daughter, Dannielynn, and was introduced to Howard K. Stern, her lawyer, whom she now calls her husband.

Miami-Bound Cruise Ship Makes Unexpected Stop

Passengers aboard a Miami-bound cruise ship made an unexpected stop on their trip Monday night. The Norwegian Dawn, owned by Norwegian Cruise Line of Miami, stopped in Norfolk, Virginia, because of a problem with its propulsion system.Poor weather off North Carolina also blocked the ship's route from New York to Florida. The ship and its 24-hundred passengers are expected to resume their trip about 5 p.m. Tuesday. The ship sailed Sunday from New York on a seven-day cruise to Florida and the Bahamas. The unplanned stop in Norfolk means the Dawn will spend less time in the Bahamas. ... Major drug busts in Kgn and Portland

Narcotics detectives continued their fight against the drug trade this week with another major ganja bust in separate operations in Kingston and Portland between Monday and Tuesday night.

A total of 1,598 pounds of compressed ganja, with a street value of $11 million, was seized. "Sixty-eight kegs of compressed ganja or 630 pounds were found along the Manchioneal beach in Portland, waiting to be picked up by a boat," said head of the Narcotics Division, Senior Superintendent Carlton Wilson.

Go-fast boats

According to him, the bad weather in Portland Tuesday night delayed the boat. "This is one of the areas that we are concerned about," he said. "We understand that from time to time go-fast boats are used to pick up drugs in Manchioneal and transport them to Haiti or the Bahamas."

The narcotics detectives said that on Monday night they detected a stash of compressed ganja, packed in the flooring of a 40-foot container at the APM in Kingston.

Bout Of Pnemonia Forces Anna Nicole To Be Admitted To Hospital

Nassau, Bahamas (BANG) - Everything just keeps piling on top of each other for Anna Nicole Smith and it doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon. The former Playboy Playmate was recently admitted to the hospital on Tuesday with pneumonia.

The former model was taken to the hospital in the Bahamas as a precautionary measure as she recently gave birth.

Her new attorney, Wayne Munroe, said, "She has a slight case of pneumonia. We've had a sudden change of weather here due to a cold snap."

Before she became ill, the 38-year-old spoke out for the first time about the death of her son Daniel, who passed away at her bedside in September shortly after the birth of her new daughter Dannie Lynn.

Anna Nicole says she would have died in order for her 20-year-old son to live.
